Brief (Collector’s Edition): To create a bespoke Pop-up rigid box adapting the artwork by Richey Beckett. The intricate artwork works so well alongside the film, that I really wanted to carry the elements throughout the box and all the elements, so I created patterns and motifs using Richey’s flowers. I felt the Pop-up wouldn’t work as a straight poster adapt, due to the crops of the figures on the front, so I refined the elements to create a suitable solution that featured the wicker man and the quote.
The package contains an Audio CD by Katy J Pearson and other artists, beautifully reworking some of the original tracks from the film.
The Wicker Man Collector’s Edition was highly commended for Best in Class – Packaging & Artwork at the 2024 BASE Awards.
Brief (Steelbook): To adapt the artwork supplied by illustrator Sophie Bland and create the inside elements that are sympathetic to the artwork. I created the white base elements for the Steelbook to make the most of the steel substrate.
