Brief: To adapt artwork supplied by Sterling Hundley for the Collector’s Edition. Create a bespoke wrap-around cover for two ‘clean’ rigid slipcases and an O-ring sleeve with text and technical information. Adapt the two posters and create a 100-page booklet using archive material and new elements.
The outer slipcase is printed on silver paper with a white base, the O-ring has an overall matt varnish and spot gloss.
An absolute pleasure to work closely with the Award-Winning Sterling Hundley and develop the packaging into a beautiful boxset. Sterling’s cinematic style matches the stunning cinematography of Akira Kurosawa. Sterling was very generous with his artwork and supplied additional sketches to be used in the booklet. The geometric sans serif type used provided a contrast to the fluid natural style of the illustrations and brush strokes text. Additional pack shots were created to display all the components of the artwork.
