A Blast From The Past Well it's been a while since I last posted, and it's been a bit hectic.
I've been kept busy with work and busy with pleasure; managing to get out of the country and visit the Musee D'Orsay in Paris. I was really impressed with the Art Nouveau section and other galleries on the second floor. It was great to see a bit of classic type there in the form of Hector Guimard's Metro sign (see pic).



I also had a shock viewing (and trying not to watch too much this time) Big Brother 8. A familiar face walked through the door in the form of Ziggy / Zac. He used to be in the boy band Northern Line, and in my dark and distant past I designed some of their sleeves and ads. In fact I should own up to being responsible for their logo. (I've actually got a typeface based on it kicking around somewhere, maybe I'll dig it up.)

Change the World Well Christmas has come and gone (I had a lovely one thanks for asking, good food, good company, good times).
One of the many delightful things I received was a book called; Change the World 9 to 5. A great book by the good people at www.wearewhatwedo.org.

The 'One Cup, Two Sugars' Rule I had to write an email the other day and used the word 'necessary', which reminded me of the rule to spell it correctly. 'One Cup, Two Sugars'. I was told about this very handy mnemonic by one of the kids learning programmes they have on BBC2 early on in the morning.

LOTR Lord of the Rings - the Return of the King was on television last night and I was absolutely enthralled by it. I'd seen it before, of course, but I forgot how visually stunning it is. The costumes, buildings and details of every aspect of Middle Earth seems so well considered and so beautiful. Inspiring stuff. 10:55 0 comments
